2023 Ford Maverick USA Colours, Engine And Release Date

2023 Ford Maverick USA Colours, Engine And Release Date – Based on many reports, the upcoming 2023 Ford Maverick pickup truck is expected to be a carryover model. Given that the current truck is still fresh, no significant changes are expected.

However, we’re expecting some small upgrades here and there, and the same comfortable cabin. We got to see the 2023 Ford Maverick USA model for global markets, but it’s only a preview of the upcoming American model.

It’s a tough act to follow because the 2022 Ford Maverick is already performing extremely well in the spotlight.

Deliveries of 2023 Ford Maverick USA models equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 began back in September, with the 2022 Maverick Hybrid following suit just this month.

However, with the Hybrid already sold out for the 2022 model year, quite a few folks will be interested to know when they might be able to order a 2023 Ford Maverick.

And now, we know when that will happen, as 2023 Ford Maverick order banks are scheduled to open up on August 16th, 2022.

With production following at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant on October 24th, though these dates are subject to change, as always.

Previously, Ford said that 2023 Ford Maverick order banks would open up next summer, so this date falls in line with that timing.

In the meantime, 2022 Maverick pickups have proven to be a hot commodity, turning in just five days on dealer lots thanks to a combination of bargain pricing and impressive fuel economy, regardless of engine choice.

2023 Ford Maverick USA Powertrain

Ford surprised us with the Maverick’s standard hybrid powertrain. It pairs a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder with a 1.1 kWh battery, an electric motor, and a CVT automatic for a combined 191 hp and 155 lb-ft of torque routed through the front wheels.

We have a strong suspicion Ford will be adding AWD in the coming years. Fuel economy is the best of any pickup truck on the market, with the Maverick hybrid returning 42/33 mpg city/highway and when we tested one, it reached 60 mph in 7.6 seconds.

The 2023 Ford Maverick USA comes with the same 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine from its previous generation. It pumps out 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque.

However, the Ranger Raptor truck may have a similar version of the twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 that the Bronco has.

When properly equipped, the Maverick can tow up to 4,000 lbs. Only the gasoline-powered engine can be paired with all-wheel drive and the towing package.

The Ranger is expected to maintain its 7,500 lbs towing capacity. With the Maverick, you get a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that is paired with an electric motor to generate 191 hp and 162 hp.

You can upgrade to the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine for 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. Besides hybrid powertrain, the manufacture will also offer a 2.0-liter EcoBoost that produces 250 hp and 277 lb.-ft.

Both engines will use the new ten-speed automatic transmission, offering either the front wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The hybrid variant will be very economical, which we cannot say for the EcoBoost engine. Still, with EcoBoost setup, the Ford Maverick is more efficient than the Hyundai Santa Cruz.

2023 Ford Maverick USA Technology

Although the Maverick hasn’t been crash tested by the IIHS or the NHTSA as of this writing, 2023 Ford Maverick USA offers a handful of its Co-Pilot360 driver-assist active safety features to reduce fatigue and minimize the possibility of a collision.

Automatic emergency braking and automatic high beams are standard on all variants. If you can spend a little more cash, though, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert are on the table.

The Ranger comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, but you can upgrade to a 12.0-inch unit. The Maverick comes with an 8.0-inch unit. Both trucks offer wireless phone charging and innovative storage solutions.

The Ranger added cargo solutions under the rear seats and in the doors. Plus, the Ranger has a larger cab, so it provides more passenger and cargo space.

Both trucks are great options to consider, but the Maverick is better on fuel and easier to maneuver in tight areas.

The Ford Ranger can tow more and has more space. But we’re still waiting to learn more about it. If you need more capability, go with the Ranger.

Inside, we don’t expect some significant upgrades over the current model. The XL base model will probably continue to offer the same 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 6-speaker audio system.

The seating arrangements will be unchanged, so expect the new Maverick to offer room for five passengers.

As before, the manufacture will most likely to equipped this truck with the same pre-collision assists with automatic emergency braking. However, we’re expecting more amenities on the upper trims.

2023 Ford Maverick USA Release Date

Not only is the Maverick the most efficient pickup on the market, it’s also the most affordable-that’s unlikely to change for 2023.

The entry-level 2022 Maverick XL with the hybrid powertrain starts at about $21,500, the XLT starts around $24,000, and the top-spec Lariat approaches $27,000. For the 2022 truck, the 2.0-liter turbo-four was a $1,085 option.

Anyway, the 2023 Ford Maverick USA may get a slight price increase, but it will probably stay in the same range, which is one of its highlights.

When it comes out, it will compete with the Hyundai Santa Cruz and a variety of midsized trucks like the Chevy Colorado and Toyota Tacoma.
