2024 Ford Mustang GT350 Engine

The Mustang has a range of powerful engines available, but one in particular stands out for its impressive output and unique sound. The GT350 and GT350R models feature a specially designed 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine with a flat-plane crank, which produces an impressive 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque.

This engine is a departure from the typical approach of adding forced induction to a smaller engine, and instead offers a unique driving experience with its sound and power delivery. In the latest generation, the 2024 Ford Mustang GT350 is still powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine, but now produces 480 horsepower.

While there is also a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost option with 315 horsepower, it is not as impressive as the V8. The Mustang GT comes with a standard six-speed manual transmission and features the 5.0-liter V8 engine, which now produces 480 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, an improvement over the previous generation.

The GT350’s engine is particularly noteworthy as it produces 526 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter Voodoo V8 engine without forced induction, making it the only car with that engine straight from the factory.

The flat-plane crank construction of the engine allows it to rev all the way up to 8,250 rpm, and it is the only naturally aspirated engine in the Mustang lineup with 100 horsepower per liter of displacement. It’s important to note that this engine is different from the flat-plane crank 5.2L Voodoo engine found in the Shelby GT350.

2024 Ford Mustang GT350 Redesign

The latest version of the Mustang sports car features an Oxford White exterior with blue racing stripes and red accents. The GT350R model stands out from other 2024 Ford Mustang GT350 due to its 19-inch carbon fiber wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires,

carbon composite front grille, pronounced front splitter, and mounted carbon fiber rear wing. The Mustang’s interior has also been updated with a 13.2-inch display that is part of a large curved display extending over the center stack area. Instead of traditional knobs, the system uses touchscreen buttons for weather and radio control.

The display can be personalized with selectable colors, gauges, and a “calm” screen that displays only essential information. The base EcoBoost and GT models have a unique styling treatment,

including a high grille inspired by the first-generation Mustangs from the 1960s and tri-bar LED headlights and taillights. There are new stripe colors and designs, three Brembo brake colors (Grabber Blue, red, and black), and new wheel designs ranging from 17 to 20 inches for customers to choose from.
